Museums, Vineyards and Cruises Oh My!

In the Southern part of the state in Manchester groups can enjoy a number of gems that are perfect for off-site events or attendee/spouse tours, two of our favorites are listed here. Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home in Manchester, Vermont offers an idyllic setting with views of the valley below and mountains to the east and west. It is a great location for an off site dinner or event.  Groups can arrange to have tours of the home which was built by President Lincoln's son Robert Todd Lincoln. A visit or event here will greatly add to your groups meeting experience. Also located nearby, in Manchester is the Southern Vermont Arts Center, the grounds provide breath-taking views of Vermont's landscape along with Vermont's largest sculpture garden. The venues for events vary from the Yesteryear House and the Elizabeth de C. Wilson Museum to the Arkell Pavilion, a 400 seat amphitheater.

North of Manchester near Burlington your group can experience a variety of attractions or off site venues, our top four attractions with event space include the following. Shelburne Vineyard gets your group out and with a chance to taste the flavors of Vermont or utilize the great event space in the loft overlooking the tasting room and the Adirondack mountains with sweeping views of the vineyard. Your group can tour the vineyard, do a tasting or host an off site event..

Shelburne Museum is an unconventional destination with folk art, Impressionist paintings, circus collections, a round barn, a  Pullman train car and even a steamboat. Each historic building and gallery is filled with captivating collections. Attendees will enjoy having free time to explore the museum. You may also want to consider the museum as a venue for an off-site event or meeting, choices include the Pizzagalli Center for Art and Education, the Brick House, Round Barn and the Steamship Ticonderoga.

ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, on the Burlington waterfront can accommodate groups of ten to one thousand and offer a variety of ways to utilize the Lake Champlain Aquarium including outdoor spaces. It is a family and meeting attendee favorite in the Burlington area. Just steps away is the Spirit of Ethan Allen yet another way to get out and explore Vermont either on a scenic cruise or on a chartered private event. Groups can charter a deck or the entire boat for an event.
