Sports and Events in Vermont

It goes without saying that skiing is a huge part of our culture here in Vermont. However, did you know that these same ski resorts are home to world-class mountain biking trails, golf courses, hockey and ice skating rinks, disc golf courses, tennis facilities, cross country trails, performing arts centers and so much more?

Beyond the ski resorts, Vermont is also home to some of the most beautiful athletic fields in the world (we may be biased though). Our location, within a 500 mile radius of 70 million people in cities like Boston, Montreal and New York City, gives sporting event organizers the perfect excuse to bring their event to these fields.  Not to mention, attendees are always awarded the opportunity to unwind and enjoy everything the Green Mountains have to offer.

For on-ice events, Vermont is home to a number of great arena. Cairns Arena in South Burlington, The Northshire Civic Center in Manchester and the Ice Haus Arena at Jay Peak Resort are just a few.

If it is extreme sports you’re after, check out Burlington Waterfront’s new Andy A_Dog Williams Skate Park. Have you ever seen a skate park with a more beautiful backdrop? What about endurance events? Vermont is home to the original Spartan Race, which is still held at Killington Resort each year.

We think Vermont is pretty great and we know your athletes, families and spectators will too! You can learn more about sporting events in Vermont here.
