Dear Vermont Tourism Industry Friends

February 22, 2017

We hope you have all been enjoying the much busier and snowier winter tourism season Vermont has experienced after last year’s forgettable winter.

Preliminary indications suggest that ski visits and revenues are up significantly year-over-year for the winter of 2016-17, and may in fact, approach or top the record levels we saw in 2014-15 if we get a strong close to the season.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the next two months bring conditions favorable to our ski resorts and that our slopes stay blanketed with snow well through April.

Deputy Commissioner Steven Cook
